Marcos Castillo
Born in Caracas, in April 3, 1897. Died in the same city in March 19, 1966. Castillo studied Cézanne work, which influence in paintings as the portrait of Carlos Eduardo Frias, and certain taverns of this period show his intention to build with color to obtain volume effects in a dramatic and moving composition.

In the Rojas and Brandt tradition, Castillo interested for the still life, achieving lights, shinning, darkling and transparencies effects of cooper vases and objects; became an object material expression master.
Marcos Castillo is represented at the Museo de Bellas Artes.
