From realistic expressionism to abstract expression.
The study of art history and the effective use all mediums and tools,
are to an artist, what letters, reading and writing are to a poet.
Once you have learned them, there is no limit to the opportunities
for self expression.
While working with a diversity of textures, colors and strokes, I
smoothly and naturally progressed from realistic images to abstraction
and this lead me to create my own language.
I feel attracted to different kinds of textures, to the strength
of strokes, and marvel at the possibilities offered by colors, their
brightness, and ways to achieve harmony through contrast. There is
still so much to say through them!
A dialogue develops between my work and myself while I search for
a serene equilibrium.
A dialogue that is just starting, and does not end in this first encounter. |
